RIGHTS OF AN AGILE TEAM MEMBER

The right to be treated with respect: An agile member have the right to be heard. No one deserves to be talked over and not given the opportunity to voice their opinion and ideas. No idea is foolish or shouldn’t be voiced, all ideas have potential and could be an essential stepping stone to creating an amazing product or service. As an agile team member name calling of any sort will not be tolerated. Others must be treated with the respect they deserve.


The right of safe working environments: As an agile team member collaboration is key, and for others to collaborate they have to feel comfortable within their given environments. Physiological safety is a must for an agile team member. All ideas matter and all contributions are valued.


The right of quality work: Communication is key within all team settings, so setting standards that are agreed upon within all teams are important to avoid any future conflicts or issues.


The right to owing the estimate process: All projects have deadlines and some are more obtainable than others. This process allows those tasked with a project the opportunity to estimate their work, resulting in realistic estimates that are flexible and have a higher chance of commitment.


The right to make in team decisions: Within a team all team members have the right to assign tasks to those who are more qualified for the completion of that specific task. No one knows better the team weaknesses and strengths than those within that group.


The right to receive time friendly decisions and information: To maximize the effectiveness and productivity of a team, the information provided must be of immaculate quality and the availability of this information must be presented when needed.


The right to evolve and select a way of work: Teams ought to be able to select the most effective way of work they deem fit for their specific situation. DA guides teams and provides a better understanding of process related decisions along with options and other alternatives.
