The Disciplined Agile process was created by Scott W. Ambler and Mark Lines in 2012 to provide organizations, teams and individuals with a more flexible process for problem solving that 1) acknowledges that all business are different and 2) helps facilitate the different work processes within each organization.
This process allows companies and individuals to have a tailored way of work but requires a willingness to change and discipline.
Since the creation of DA both Scott and Mark have released several books pertaining to the Disciplined Agile approach and even created a DA guide. More than 50,000 DA books have been sold and DA has now become a worldwide approach with implementations in 30 countries.
In 2019 DA was acquired by the Project Management Institute, which offers immense value to stakeholders who are devoted to the improvement of their teams’ alertness.
